Description:
We are looking for an energetic individual to join our New Jersey sales office team. This individual will provide sales support to the Regional Director   Primary responsibilities: Work with Regional Director and producers on case design and information gathering to prepare illustrations that are timely and accurate                                          
Follow up with producers to determine that illustrations meet their needs and help complete the sale.
Maintain a proactive and supportive relationship with General Agency back offices. This could include product and software training
Monitor life insurance applications through the underwriting process
Work with the Regional Director to coordinate the distribution of local marketing communications and organize any local seminars conducted by the Regional Director.  (The candidate is not required to create marketing material)
Build solid relationships with home office, Regional Director and local staff, fostering an environment that supports teamwork.
Detail oriented, take-charge person with excellent relationship building skills and strong technical (computer) skills
 Requirements:

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent
3 - 5 years work experience in sales support in the life insurance industry.
Well-developed life insurance product knowledge.
Understanding of sales concepts, corresponding illustrations, and the underwriting process helpful.
Intermediate level skill in use of Microsoft Word and Excel applications and working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
Experience with database management
Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to use advanced judgment in problem solving
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Helpful: Working knowledge of Lotus Notes
FINRA Series 6 and State Insurance Licenses preferable. Will need to acquire State license and Series 6 within six months of hire date.
