Aurora Loan Services is currently looking for a Foreclosure Prevention Specialist I.
The Foreclosure Prevention Specialist I is accountable to collect payments on low risk 1-60 days delinquent accounts in accordance with all investor and insurer regulations and guidelines to prevent foreclosure or financial losses to the investor and/or Aurora Loan Services. Job responsibilities include following all state and federal laws in accordance with the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. This is an entry level position in Collections.
General Duties:
Collects payments that are primarily low risk 1-60 days delinquent in accordance with all investor and insurer regulations and guidelines to prevent foreclosure or financial losses to the investor and/or Aurora Loan Services.
Works outbound / inbound 1-60 day low / medium risk delinquent accounts (non-foreclosure/bankruptcy loans).
Delivers superior customer service.
Asks probing (RFD) questions regarding the delinquency.
Takes Promise-to-Pays (PTPs).
Conducts interviews & obtains customer’s financial information.
Sets up Repayment Plans (restricted to 6-months).
Documents all contacts, servicing, and action taken thoroughly and accurately on the Fidelity Collection Workstation. Ensures all contact codes and supporting comments are documented on every loan.
Reads payment histories and handles payment disputes.
Demonstrates working knowledge of default timelines, default letters; demonstrates basic Back in the Black (BITB) knowledge.
Orders billing statements and letters off of the system and update borrower information.
Ensures compliance with all investor/insurer, federal and state regulations, company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
May perform other related duties or ad hoc projects within the scope of responsibilities.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
No prior work experience required. Zero to six months on the job training required.
