Description:
Contractor Design Consultant IIDuties:This position has the direct responsibility to audit GIS data for policy compliance
and data accuracy as well as take corrective action as required. Other key responsibilities include Working with various Utility systems data and incorporating them into the GIS
model Perform quality assurance checks on the Utility landbase in accordance with
scheduled releases Perform quality assurance checks on the periodic loading of
Work Management facility inspection data Maintain and publish system scorecards Create, update, and publish Electric Delivery asset reports Extract GIS data and supply to various 3rd part vendors for inspection programs Perform ad-hoc reports as needed Creating and publishing various output products including maps and stored displays Create, publish and maintain various system stored displays Update and maintain various web products Create ad-hoc maps and studies as needed Working within a project team to design, build, test, rollout and support enhancements
to the Geographic Information System Create test plans and perform system testing. Operate a car or light truck. Operate automated office equipment including, but no limited to printers, plotters,
duplication machines, facsimile and scanners.Essential: Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve results.
In-depth knowledge of ArcGIS, ArcSDE and other ESRI products and extensions. Ability
to work alone or as part of an integrated team. Demonstrated ability to work with
both MAST and bargaining unit Associates. Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated
abilities in the areas of focused actionable planning, team building, communication,
change management, project and budgetary management. Computer skills in MS Office
and other Windows applications. Proficient in MS Acess, Visio and SQL.Desired: General knowledge of Crystal Reports, OMS, SAP, and CAD.Qualifications:Must meet the Companys general requirements, and in addition: Bachelors in Geography, GIS, Cartography, Computer Science or equivalent experience. 2 to 3 years experience with ESRI software products. Must have the ability to acquire a thorough working knowledge of:o The companys business applications.o Material, equipment, and apparatus used in the work.o The Utilities Transmission and Distribution systems and the geography of the
area in which he or she works.o Various operating and maintenance handbooks and
manuals insofar as they pertain to his/her work, including the safety rules and
practices set forth therein. Must be able to work at various PSEandG locations
based on business needs/workload Must posses and maintain a valid drivers license
to operate motor vehicles in the state of New Jersey.
