Description:
The Utility Owned Solar Program Manager will have overall responsibility for the
implementation of an 80MW utility scale solar PV program with system sizes over
500kw over a 3-4 year period. The Program Manager will oversee all segments of a
multifaceted program in a matrixed, cross-functional organizational environment
which includes pole-attached solar, utility owned systems on utility property and
utility owned systems on third party sites. The successful candidate will ensure
adherence to project schedules, achievement of investment objectives, PandL goals
and compliance with the Board of Public Utilities Order approving the program. The
Solar Program Manager must also identify, establish and maintain processes for reporting
and managing Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECS) through PJM GATS and capacity
and energy through PJM markets and programs.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:? Oversee the efforts of equipment suppliers and construction project managers,
monitor progress and ensure milestone achievement, escalate and resolve barriers?
Coordinate internal efforts throughout the company to achieve program goals, on
all aspects of project implementation, such as procurement, permitting, interconnection,
metering, monitoring, communications, SREC management, marketing, business development?
Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements; prepare reports
as required? Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements? Manage the PandL for the overall program to achieve investment objectivesRERQUIREMENTS:? Demonstrated construction project management experience, background in managing
Engineering/Procurement/Construction contracts? Experience with and knowledge of
utility interconnections, solar PV systems, metering requirements, PJM GATs, communications
systems? Outstanding competencies in negotiation, organization, written and verbal
communications ? Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the design and installation
of large solar PV systems (>500kw) ? Preferred: Bachelor of Science in EE or ME;
