Description:
The Associate Director of Interest Rate Product Sales will be responsible for increasing revenues in EMEA for CME Group Interest Rate Products from new and existing institutional clients across targeted client segments. Responsibilities will include expanding volumes and revenues from CME’s existing customer base, as well as new client acquisition. Reporting directly to the OTC Products Sales Manager, the individual will focus on promoting both listed and cleared only CME Group Interest Rate Products to targeted EMEA clients such as investment managers, dealer banks, hedge funds and FCMs. In addition, the selected candidate will support the efforts of the IR OTC Sales Manager to promote the benefits of CCP model to market participants who have traditionally used OTC derivatives. The selected candidate will also be required to support the development and implementation of the CME Interest Rate product and marketing strategy.
The position will have clear and measureable goals which include but not be limited to: • Under the direction of the IR OTC Sales Manager and in close collaboration with the IR OTC Product Manager, participate in the validation and execution of the CME OTC Interest Rate strategy and promote and leverage the ClearPort brand. • Support the efforts of the Listed IR Sales Manager to grow revenues and diversify our EMEA client base for CME Group listed Interest Rate products with a focus on traditional client segments such as FCMs, Dealer Banks, Hedge Funds, and Asset managers. • Educate target client base on product specifications and trading strategies for new Interest Rate Products. Proactively notify target client base of new IR product initiatives, rule changes, engine enhancements, etc. • Collaborate closely with IR Team product managers to continually look for ways to improve and innovate interest rate products and services through feedback from market participants. • Actively promote the electronic migration of Treasury and ED options. • Collaborate closely with EMEA strategic sales team in order to identify and leverage cross marketing opportunities across asset class products and services.
Requirements • Deep product knowledge, with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in both listed and OTC fixed income and derivative markets, with a thorough understanding of how and why clients use the risk management products. • A history that has demonstrated strong sales skills and self motivation • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a cross functional team environment • Strong communication and presentation skills • Deep client relationships on both buy and sell side fixed income market participants • General knowledge of all CME products, markets and customer segments • Solid understanding of Globex functionality and strategy enhancements necessary to migrate Treasury and Index futures to screen. • Bachelors Degree required, MBA a strong plus
