Key Responsibilities
· Contracts Specialist/Change Management Coordinator needed for transportation construction work in the DC metro area.
· Will manage the change management process from start to completion utilizing the Construction Equipment Rental Blue book.
· Will prepare independent government estimates or have a reach back capability to have someone else provide it.
· Duties would involve change definition and preparation of the preliminary change order documents
· Upon approval of the PCO preparation of the Contract Modification document, tracking status and reporting on pending change orders.
· Manage the claim process that will occur at the conclusion of a large transportation project.
Basic/Required Qualifications
· BS in Civil Engineering.
· Professional Engineering License a plus.
· Strong contracts and change order knowledge.
· Must be familiar with the CFR and DC regulations on change management.
· Must have a firm civil engineering background and be familiar with DDOTs Standard Specifications
· 5+ years in transportation construction and project management services.
· Experience in skill, labor standard, job site evaluations and construction documentation.
· Read, understand and review as-built drawings, blueprints and shop drawings.
