Description:
Location: Lake MaryThe Manager of Transmission Engineering Levy Baseload Project has an immediate need
for a Technical Specialist to help develop and respond to bid specifications for
the construction group. The position will be located out of the Northpoint facility
in Lake Mary, FL (3300 Exchange Place) The Technical Specialist will be responsible
for requesting quotes, and downloading and reviewing documents that have already
been written. Must have the knowledge and technical capability of extracting necessary
data and determining if it belongs in the current bid. This person will work closely
with engineering and construction specifications to create new bids. Must have solid
MS Word skills to work with graphs and tables. Someone with a technical writing
background might be a good fit, but this is NOT a technical writer position. A commercial
construction background would also be a good fit. If the person has worked at Siemens,
Black and Veatch, Westinghouse, Lockheed Martin, etc that could be a plus. Pay is
$25 - $35/hr. Duration of the assignment is through the end of the year. The manager
is also willing to consider someone who only wants to work part time.
