GENERAL FUNCTION: This position is responsible for monitoring workflow, conducting extensive research, and processing Insurance Transactions. This position will work with outside vendors and internal and external customers. Ensure that quality and productivity standards are maintained. Able to communicate effectively with outside vendors and perform analytical research job functions. Performs a variety of complex reporting, analytical and customer service functions relating to consumer loan accounts. This position has direct contact with customers and must be able to represent Fifth Third in a positive manner. Primary Contact for calls from Internal Customers, External Customers and Third Party Vendors. They are responsible for research and resolution of customer issues. They are the primary contact to handle escalated issues for External Customers and / or the Affiliate Relationship Manager/Branch Manager. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: * Plans, assigns and monitors the insurance accounts while maintaining optimum efficiency and cost effectiveness. Ensuring that production standards are met and maintained. * Ensures deadlines are met in accordance with customer and vendor guidelines. * Follows the FEMA guidelines, requirements and policies of the Bank, including FDICIA, Self-Assessment and Risk Management programs. * Monitors daily, weekly and monthly reporting of insurance gl activity. Ensures Service Level is met. * Maintains an organized and efficient work area; performs all work in accordance with established health and safety procedures. * Manage the day-to-day processing of insurance remittances/insurance adds/insurance refunds/insurance reporting. * Ensures that transactions are cleared within the 5 day standard. * Develops a positive relationship with outside Vendors and actively participates in resolving issues. * Ensures accurate posting of insurance activity by monitoring reports and trouble shooting system. * Works directly with IT to resolve insurance issues. * Reviews all general ledger entries in the insurance gls. * Oversees in resolving escalated operational and customer service issues relating to insurance accounts. * Identifies and implements work efficiencies through process improvement techniques. * Demonstrates mastery of all area systems and related responsibilities. * Responsible for research and resolution of any issues as a result of the Customer Service Call. * Responsible for resolution of escalated issues and or the research of aged issues. * Responsible for the communication of the resolution of issues to the Internal and or External Customer. * Responsible for special projects assigned by management. Requirements:
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: * High School Diploma required, some college preferred or equivalent work experience. * Minimum two (2) years experience in banking operations or related field. * Demonstrated ability to work in team environment while presenting a professional image and commanding the respect of staff, peers and senior management. * Leadership skills, initiative, a detail orientation, strong analytical skills and decisive decision making skills. * Proficient with Microsoft products, such as Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
