Job Summary Web Content Specialist

Support the growth of web sales through maintaining web content to 100% accuracy. This position executes any and all web marketing tasks as directed by manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities The duties and responsibilities listed below serve as a general outline. Other duties may be assigned or required.

Ensure that site content is kept accurate. The Web Content Specialist will execute the steps necessary in maintaining the accuracy of static web pages, dynamic product and category content (images, copy, etc.), and the validity of site links. Web offer content must exactly match the catalog offers, and non-product pages must be proofed and corrected. This individual must also maintain content accuracy in all non-commerce websites to standards set by department manager.
Ensure all web content and features are optimized. The Web Content Specialist will be responsible for: (1) auditing all web site content and features to ensure effectiveness for site visitors; (2) leading the initiative to fix any problems through current or new processes; and (3) following up to ensure successful closure of issues in a timely manner.
Execute web marketing and merchandising plans/directives. The Web Content Specialist will play an active role in routine web marketing and merchandising by creating or modifying predesigned emails, creating web pages using common web editing tools, and modifying web product/category settings using website administrative tools, and any other web marketing and merchandising activities.
Create website affiliations with other organizations in our market. The Web Content Specialist will research market-related organization websites and help evaluate their effectiveness as a resource presence on all six websites. This individual will also make the necessary website resource page updates or create new website resource pages, as needed.
Ensures the required level of site search result accuracy. The Web Content Specialist must monitor and identify content that leads to poor or failed search results, and then take the necessary steps to fix and follow through to ensure closure. Other site search monitoring is necessary to ensure that common keyword results are returning expected content. Additional administration or reporting of site search usage is also required.
Any other responsibilities as directed by manager.

Education and / or experience required

Bachelors degree (preferred) or equivalent experience in web content management (required)
Experience in process execution
Experience in delivery of content to a website, and the accuracy thereof
Experience with OS/X, Windows XP, HTML, Web Browsers, Dreamweaver, and MS Office
