Description:
Identify risks to assets and earnings of BCBSM and subsidiaries from various hazard exposures. Finance potential risks through the use of contractual transfer, self-insurance and the purchase of insurance policies. Identify hazard exposures created by new products, operations and acquisitions. Review insurance policies for accuracy and completeness. Determine and implement appropriate risk financing measures to address identified exposures. Assess potential loss to BCBSM and subsidiaries from exposures. Negotiate insurance policy terms and premiums with insurance carriers. Review contracts for appropriate insurance and indemnification language. Review insurance renewals for submission to broker. Perform other related duties as assigned. Other duties may be assigned.
