Description:
POSITION PURPOSE Perform the day-to-day administrative activities of an IRB funded study. Provide support to the Critical Care research team to facilitate the achievement of the program’s goals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES 1. Using clinical expertise, identify adverse drug events based off of the study definitions. 2. Review study participant charts to identify patient conditions and procedures. 3. Extract, collect and enter research data. Report program data and progress to study investigators. Work with Principle Investigator to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive databases and files related to the program. 4. Identify barriers or obstacles in the system/procedures related to the study and communicate to the study investigators. 5. Maintain program timeline including tracking deadlines for program components. 6. Participate in weekly updates with Principle Investigator, study coordinator and study team. 7. Validate collected data, as appropriate MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field. A degree in pharmacy, nursing, respiratory care or another health related field is strongly preferred. An Associate’s Degree is acceptable with 5 years of experience. Experience: 3 years of related experience. Prior clinical experience in a critical care, transport or HOT patient setting is strongly preferred. Certifications/Licenses: CITI training required within 90 days of hire. CCRP or CCRC preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Strong critical thinking, problem solving and attentiveness to detail required. Strong computer skills. Sufficient knowledge of program study area.
