More information about Concur is available at www.concur.com.Job Overview: Responsible for managing worldwide accounting operations, transaction processing and statutory reporting. Establishes corporate accounting policies and practices; directly manages third-party accounting providers in addition to international accounting functions. Ensures corporate compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, while assisting management with accurate and timely financial information. Member of the Senior Leadership Team and reports to the Chief Financial Officer.Responsibilities:Establish worldwide accounting policies and procedures to ensure that all financial transactions are executed and documented in accordance with US GAAP; company assets are safeguarded; and internal controls are strong and effective in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Establish accounting processes to maximize efficiency, accuracy and visibility in preparation of financial data through continuous evaluation and deployment of financial systems, personnel and cross-functional teams.Responsible for GL, AP, AR, collections, revenue recognition, internal stock administration and all corporate taxes. Manage primary relationship with external accountants during annual audit and quarterly reviews. Oversee all financial accounting systems needed to maintain reporting requirements.Work closely with Sales, Marketing and IT to ensure all service offerings are appropriately supported by financial systems.Employee management activities including hiring, performance appraisals, coaching, career development, cross-training, salary recommendations, etc. Must possess a strong desire to develop world-class talent.Work closely with tax in determination of policies and estimates.Work closely with Financial Reporting and Compliance Manager to ensure all SEC filings are made timely and accurately, and monitor the effectiveness of the company’s internal control system in compliance with Section 404.Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policiesPosition Requirements:Education, Experience and Training required:BA/BS in Accounting; CPA required; MBA or Masters in Accounting Preferred15+ years progressive experience in accounting; public accounting (Big 4) experience preferred10+ years demonstrated successful leadership and management skills (including the ability to hire, develop, motivate, reward and retain employees).Experience working in a technology services or software company and/or a publicly traded company preferred.Financial systems design and implementation experience a plus.Ability to pass a background checkJob Specific Specialized Knowledge and Skills:Thorough understanding of GAAP principles, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and SEC reporting; and the practical application of each to a dynamic business environment. Must be self-motivated, results-oriented, and possess the ability to implement process improvements, gain efficiencies and generate cost saving ideas. Must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Strong attention to detail.
