ACTIVE NUCLEAR MEDICINE PHYSICIAN

Practicing as a nuclear medicine Officer on the U.S. Army Health Care Team, you'll gain the experience that comes only by caring for our diverse patient population. Entering our ready-made practice, you can focus on patient care, instead of overhead costs and malpractice insurance. When you conduct an examination or provide therapy, you'll be making a difference in the lives of our Soldiers and their Families.

Requirements include:
- Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
- Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
- Eligibility for board certification
- Completion of at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
- Completion of a training program in nuclear medicine
- Between 21 and 42 years of age (may request a waiver)
- U.S. citizenship


RESERVE NUCLEAR MEDICINE PHYSICIAN

You can make a difference in the lives of our Soldiers and their Families by serving as a nuclear medicine Officer on the U.S. Army Reserve Health Care Team. Working alongside professionals at the top of their fields, you'll have the opportunity to practice in your community and serve when needed. In addition, you'll have access to the most advanced nuclear medical therapy treatments. The new skills you learn, in turn, can help you advance the work you do every day.

Benefits include:
- Health Professional Special Pay of $75,000 for eligible specialties, paid in three yearly increments of $25,000
- Healthcare Professionals Loan Repayment (HPLR) of up to $50,000 over three years; may be applied toward qualified medical school loans

- Travel opportunities, including humanitarian missions
