SUMMARY: Provides technical support to the Manufacturing operation. Determines product structure, manufacturing sequence, product cost standards and assembly/test procedures. Assists manufacturing supervisors in optimizing production flow and resolving production problems. Provides guidance and liaison support in new product development, release and introduction to Manufacturing.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides technical support to Manufacturing, assists in identification and resolution of production problems. Recommends production layout and develops tooling jogs and fixtures to optimize production flow and product cost.
2. Maintains product cost standards.
3. Initiates and/or reviews and approves Engineering Change Orders for the manufacturing organization.
4. Is a member of the Material Review Board.
5. Initiates and maintains production operations instructions.
6. May provide technical support and training to customers.
7. May train production personnel in new methods.
8. May assist Manufacturing Manager in facilities management and maintenance.
9. May provide accountability of manufacturing issues to customers.
10. Support the Quality System and Quality Policy by following procedures / work instructions and creating records to meet the requirements of the Quality System Regulation and ISO registration.

TRAINING EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Engineering degree in MechanicalEngineering with two to five years experience of related experience. Written and verbal communication, conflict management, professionalism and customer service skills are a must.
