Full-Time Pharmacy Technician
Soldiers’ Home in Holyoke, Holyoke, MA
Description: You’ll assist in various pharmacy activities, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and other duties not requiring the review of a pharmacist. The majority of tasks and responsibilities are related to preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications. Other duties include maintaining patient records, and setting up, packaging, and labeling of medication doses and billing. Hours are M-F, 8-4:30.
Qualifications:
· MA pharmacy technician certification and registration
· Previous pharmacy technician experience in a hospital
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
Facility: Soldiers’ Home in Holyoke is a 287-bed long-term-care facility dedicated to care of veterans. Accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations, it offers a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services, such as general intensive care, pain management, dental services, chaplaincy, hospice care, pastoral care services, and end-of-life services. Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to CPS.
