STRUCTURAL INSPECTOR
Orbital Engineering,® Inc., a nationally recognized multi-discipline engineering company with offices in Pittsburgh, PA, Philadelphia, PA, Chicago, IL, and Toledo, OH, is expanding its facilities services/asset management workforce and is recruiting for multiple junior and senior level Structural Inspector positions at our Detroit, Michigan District Office.
Currently, Orbital Engineering,® Inc. is providing facilities services and asset management for a variety of customers in the following industries:
Chemicals
General Heavy Manufacturing
Steel
Petrochemicals
Power Generation (fossil)
Pulp and Paper
Refining
Our primary work product includes the following:
Asset Evaluations
Confined Space Audits
Critical Structures Management® Programs
Due Diligence
Fall Protection
Hoisting and Lifting Devices
Mechanical Integrity
NFPA Arc Flash Studies
Safe Workplace® Programs
Opportunities currently exist for personnel from Junior Technician and Inspector through Senior Program Manager. These positions are full time. Required work experience will be commensurate for the position, with candidates with 0 to 15 years experience being the primary focus.
Individuals with the following certifications will be given priority consideration:
API 510
API 570
API 571
API 653
ASNT TC-1A Level II
BSME
BSCE
Candidates must be willing to travel for short to medium terms as assignments require, usually less than one month at a time, though longer term assignments are possible. Minimal off-shift work is also required, due to customer production requirements.
Must be willing and able to work at heights, and be fitted with an OSHA approved half face respirator (clean shaven, no beard). A current valid driver’s license is a strict requirement.
