Description:
Space Coast Credit Union is looking for an Inside Mortgage Loan Officer in our Tampa Bay area. In this position you will interview members/potential members interested in first mortgage products, analyzes individual financial circumstances, make recommendations on most appropriate mortgage product. Build business relationships with realtors and builders within the community. The representative will be branch or headquartered based, and will be both an initial and secondary contact representative for mortgage product inquires generated through express and internet channels.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Develops and maintains awareness of all company products and services, specifically the mortgage products and promotions.
· Completes mortgage loan application with member on the phone. Assures completeness and accuracy of the information required to submit the application to automated underwriting.
· Receives and reviews applications submitted to the mortgage department by other departments at SCCU. Contacts the Member to discuss mortgage options and complete the application and/or request additional information.
· Secures all required supporting documentation from members or financial institutions to meet SCCU and correspondent requirements. Resolves conflicts and problems and organizes each final mortgage application file in preparation for processing of the file. Responds promptly to member inquiries, calls or e-mail.
· Adheres to established department and organization policies, procedures, objectives and quality standards to ensure compliance with all applicable SCCU and RESPA policies and procedures.
· Knowledge of and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations pertaining to mortgage loans.
Requirements:
A minimum of one year’s prior experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer, Mortgage Loan Processor, or a Consumer/Mortgage Loan Interviewer.
Education:
High School plus additional course work gained through attendance at vocational, technical or business school or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s Business degree is preferred.
Salary plus commission
Hours: Mon - Fri 8 hours
