No third party submittals Position Description: This is a well funded domestic start-up developing innovative scalable greentech energy storage systems. This is a ground floor opportunity to contribute your theoretical mechanical engineering design skills including engine design, DFM and mathematical modeling in challenging technical projects that will have a significant positive impact on global warming in what is projected to be a $100 Billion market. You will be working with a small group of highly intelligent physicists and engineers working on practical problems for commercial products. Responsibilities: Responsible for contributing to the group with your skills and abilities in the areas of computational fluid dynamics, theoretical design and mathematical modeling to model complex thermodynamic systems and match results with experiments. Experience working with multiphase (gas/fluid) flows. Work with the team through the design development, prototyping and subsequent manufacturing processes. Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience: PhD in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in computational fluid dynamics. Strengths in theoretical design, mathematical modeling and knowledge of thermodynamics and multiphase flow. 2-7 years of hands-on experience in a commercial company, however, or a combination of academic and commercial experience. Highly creative and innovative - self-motivated and able to work effectively with a highly skilled team. Good communication and presentation skills as well as being very computer literate. Experience/knowledge of compressors or internal combustion engines would be highly desired.
