Description:
As the industry leader and first choice for innovative retail merchandising, shrink management and labor reduction solutions, FFR-DSI is seeking a highly qualified Director of Product Management at our Solon OH or Wilder KY location. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing, and directly supervises our Product Managers.Job Function:The Director of Product Management leads the development of FFR-DSI's strategic direction for selected new product lines, as well as significant enhancements or extensions to existing product lines. The position is responsible for merchandising and supply solutions that achieve revenue, gross margin, inventory level, and profit contribution targets for FFR-DSI. The Director will perform customer, competitor, and industry-related qualitative and quantitative research with existing customers and prospects. In addition to managing and setting goals and objectives for Product Managers, the Director will work closely with Sales, Product Development, Operations, customers and suppliers. Also, the Director will perform sales, trend, and profitability analysis.Role Requirements: * Bachelor degree in Marketing, business or other relevant area. * Seven to nine years experience in product management, including five years of leading programs or project teams, with responsibility for leading teams of professionals and managers. * Experience working with domestic, as well as international product development and vendor/partner management. * Demonstrated track record of year-over-year growth in sales and profitability, as well as efficient cost and inventory management. * Demonstrated track record of management and leadership skills, including hiring and developing exceptional talent. * Excellent skill level in MS Office products and presentation skills. * Broad knowledge of risk assessment, profitability / capital / expense analysis and management, ROI and general financial analysis. * Knowledge and experience in development of supplier contract agreements. * Synthesizes complex or diverse information; collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data; designs work flows and procedures. * Ability to develop influential relationships across functional areas within an organization. * Demonstrated success in consensus building and influencing. * Strong project management, negotiation and time management skills. * Ability to travel as required.Mental or Physical Demands: * Excellent math skills. * Interpersonal communication skills. * Ability to exercise judgement and work with limited supervision. * Organizational skills. * Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time. * High energy le ...
