Description:
Position Purpose Molecular Medicine Informatics Scientists are accountable for preparing data for loading into the ClinGen exploratory research database and subsequent anonymization. They also reconcile samples and data using identifiers in the electronic rosters. Organizational Relationships: Reports to the Head of Operations in Molecular Medicine. Works closely with other Informatics Scientists to distribute and coordinate work. May interact with DevOps to locate and obtain the source clinical data for processing. Resources Managed (budget and FTEs): This position has no direct reports Primary Duties: Prepares clinical data and associated samples for anonymization. Processes clinical data according to established standards. Creates a listing of samples to be destroyed because identifiers do not match the identifiers in the clinical data, or the clinical data indicates the sample was inadvertantly collected. Prepares an electronic sample roster, according to established standards, for loading into the ClinGen system. Creates a report summarizing the data processing work on each study. Training and Education Preferred: Bachelors level degree or equivalent experience. Experience with SAS, including building datasets, querying databases, and generating reports. Experience queryting data via SQL. Familiarity with the UNIX operating system. Prior Experience Preferred At least 1 year experience in pharmaceutical development is preferred.
