Description:
The Principal Business Process Analyst analyses production, inventory control, distribution, cost analysis, and /or a variety of other business and technical problems to formulate and develop new and modified processes and systems. Represents the business activity in all informational technology developments.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Fully support the Quality Policy by building quality into all aspects ofthe incumbent'sworkand by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements (including but not limited to being current on all training requirements forthe incumbent's position and documenting that training).Works with Corporate IT and others across the plant network on project prioritization process to set priorities, define user requirements specifications, create testing scenarios and successfully roll out new IT projects and enhancements.
Leads support of major business systems initiatives such as SAP enhancements (APO, BW, PDM, other).
Provides strategic leadership by building business cases for new solutions, justification for new technology, and projecting maintenance growth on existing platforms.Acts as plant representative for SAP software upgrades, data transfers, process changes, Corporate CAPA’s that are SAP related, etc.Provides training and workshops on SAP utilization, as needed.Creates/modifies process and procedure documents and input into PDM. Performs SAP master data audits and reports results. Provides on-going system assistance and communication. Analyzes business processes and problems to identify, prioritize, coach and lead continuous improvement efforts utilizing Six Sigma and Lean tools. Reports project plans, progress, and results. Works with functional SMEs to identify, initiate and prioritize continuous improvements and new enhancements to existing solutions with focus on process standardization and utilization of best practices. Interacts with peers, managers, and senior management to develop consensus supporting logistics strategies and projects. Participates on cross plant Business Process Council, learning best practices and opportunities to benchmark other BSC site practices.Performs responsibilities required by the Quality System and other duties as assigned or requested. Develops, implements, and maintains procurement process maps and department scorecards including the identification of procurement key performance indicators and develop a process (preferably automated) to track and report results. Performs data entry of Approved Vendor List (AVL) including edits of existing suppliers and adding of new suppliers per approved AVL forms.Maintains and publishes monthly cycle count compliance metrics.
Requirements:
Position Qualifications:
The position requires a BS in Business Administration or Computer Science or a related field and a minimum of 8-10 years of SAP or similar implementation experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform at this level. APICS certification highly desired. Requires knowledge of e-commerce tools, computer systems capabilities, business processes and workflow. Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Full knowledge of manufacturing industry practices and knowledge of ISO and FDA quality standards. Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems in the medical device industry is preferred. Must be skilled and experienced in effective training techniques. Experience using lean tools such as kanbans, heijunka, pull systems, value stream mapping, kaizen, 5S, etc. Software knowledge required: Advanced Microsoft: Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access, Monarch and Business Information Warehouse (BW), Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO). Demonstrates adept project management skills, including project chartering, timeline development and management of deliverables.
