We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Director to provide direction for all activities within ev3 Operations. This includes driving the lean process to maximize profitable growth, providing premier customer service, developing a strong workforce, and reducing operating cost and inventories through continuous improvement efforts.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all aspects of managing ev3’s manufacturing operations to include employee development, performance management, budget planning, goal alignment, project execution, and policy deployment
Drive all manufacturing operations activities to ensure staffing, materials, and equipment meet product service levels and quality specifications in accordance with core metrics (e.g. Cost, Quality, Delivery, Safety)
Drive product cost improvements using lean manufacturing tools; ensure a culture of continuous improvement is implemented and sustained
Partner with cross-functional teams including Research & Development, Process Development, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality, to achieve objectives
Proactively work with Operations Planning organization to optimize incoming supply of raw materials
Provide effective change management and leadership across ev3
Comply with applicable FDA, international regulatory laws/standards, OSHA, EPA and the ev3 Code of Conduct
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required
8 - 10 years of technical / manufacturing experience
6 or more years’ supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in lean manufacturing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree in Engineering or related field
Medical Device manufacturing experience
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Strong leadership, negotiation and communication skills
Demonstrated problem analysis and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to proactively and collaboratively lead a function with a balance of planning, analytical, and execution skills
