Position Description: This position would be part of the Messaging and Collaboration team within Server Services. “MAC” The MAC team is responsible for the day-to-day operations and support of: - CMEG Electronic messaging system (E-mail), utilized by all clearing information systems - All Mobile Devices (Blackberry and Windows Mobile) - Zantaz EAS email archiving system - Exchange Unified Messaging Environment (Voice mail within e-mail) - Tandberg Video Conference system - Office Communicator Instant Messaging environment - Sharepoint Environment - Castelle Fax Server - Cisco Digital Media System - Conference Room A/V Setups The MAC team is also responsible for - Performing all Legal E-discoveries of email stores. - Providing end user support - Providing support for Conference room build outs during planning and construction. - Providing end user training on AV setups. - Integrating Tandberg Video Conferencing systems with in-room audio for large meetings. - Set up of all Conference Room Technologies Qualifications: Required: Experience with Microsoft Server Administration: Active Directory, Group Policy. Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2003/7. Strong work ethic. Good communication skills. Good customer support focus. Preferred: Office Communications Server 2003. Experience with Video Conference systems. Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint 2003 Server. Basic understanding of A/V Technologies and concepts. Job Attributes: The MAC Engineering department is working with state-of-the-art technology. We are pushing the envelope with collaborative tools – integrating telephony, desktop video, instant messaging, high-definition video conferencing, voice-mail, and e-mail. The e-mail system is mission critical and is fairly large and complex. This position will play an integral role in architecting, implementing, and supporting the new technologies deployed at The CME Group. The work will be challenging and rewarding, as the projects this person completes will affect the entire organization, changing the environment significantly. Furthermore The CME Group is deploying technology into Conference Rooms and tightly integrating them into the overall infrastructure to make better use of the facilities available.
