Job Description Title: Manager, Financial Reporting Term: Permanent Placement Location: Reston , VA Job Description: The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for all financial reporting preparation and analysis, including the timely preparation of management reports and SEC required submissions. Responsibilities Include: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Prepare internal financial management reports for Senior Management as well as US GAAP based financial statements for external constituents (investors/lenders/SEC) Co-ordinate and review analysis of monthly financial reporting Develop and implement best practices for internal controls Provide ad hoc financial reports Manage relevant staff in the establishment of responsibilities and priorities as well as the execution of tasks. Assist in the development of automated financial reports with the financial systems team Complete special projects, as required Experience: Required: 2-3 years post CPA Qualification experience Expert knowledge of FASB requirements and GAAP reporting Strong MS Office experience, particularly Excel Previous experience with day-to-day operations in a fast-paced, growth environment? Experience managing Accounting or Finance staff Desired: Big 4 qualified Oracle Financials experience Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently Must be detail oriented Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to proofread, edit and prepare routine written communication and ability to respond in a clear and concise manner to requests and questions Strong organization, planning and problem-solving skills Self motivated with ability to set well-defined and realistic goals; monitor progress and achieve results; manage multiple tasks and projects Ability to plan work in accordance with general direction.
