Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Product Manager – Technology to work at our Corporate headquarters located in Ronkonkoma, NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing technical specifications based on the user requirements from our maintenance services customers. Will be the liaison between customers, operations and information technology and manage the maintenance application product life-cycle, ensuring that product innovation and customer needs are fully met. Responsibilities
Lead development of the maintenance software application product strategy and roadmap. Drive the overall product design, user interface and user experience.
Identify functional gaps in current production release and improve upon the usability and acceptance of the software application.
Manage the prioritization process for the software application management team with input from users, operations and management.
Deliver documentation with prioritized features and corresponding justification.
Develop a feedback program that solicits input and requirements from end users on regular basis.
Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage releases when possible.
Work closely with the software application support group to assist in the development of training programs and materials.
Ensure quality product releases and updates.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minimum five (5) years related experience. Experience in an aviation maintenance environment preferred.
Must possess proven Product Management/Project Management leadership experience.
Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal) to sufficiently develop and deliver presentations to all levels of staff and customers.
Some travel required.
