Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a key cross-company group responsible for the macro-quality and performance effects across the iBasis network.
Establish, monitor and bring into process key network KPI's using quantitative methods.
Resolve challenging network and quality issues by thinking strategically and working wtih subject matter experts across organizations.
Understand key network capabilities from a quality front and advocate both with executives and subject matter experts on solutions.
Perform what-if analysis by conducting network trials on problems to arrive at solutions.
Lead and establish a Center for Analytics with a forward looking vision covering network quality, pricing and routing analytics.
Interface with Executive management on trouble trends and fixes both short-term and long-term.
Manage and motivate a team of 5-7 direct reports.
Requirements:
Must be a self-starter and be an independent thinker.
Experience managing a group of highly talented individuals with mathematics and large-scale computer networking experience.
Experience with network quality management projects and methodology.
Experience in statistics, revenue management and network optimization a big plus.
Strong communication skills needed especially to take technical concepts and explain them simply to those that are non-technical.
Proven success as a manager, mentor and motivator.
Experience with a telecom service provider a big plus.
10 years plus experience in a similar role.
MS/Ph.D in Electrical Engineering, Operations Research or Statistics strongly preferred.
