Requirements:
Knowledge and/or experience in collecting and analyzing fielded Army vehicle systems and equipment regarding environmentally induced issues/problems, and knowledge and/or experience in performing comparative analysis to identify the added magnitude and maintenance burden and repair parts consumption for units deployed in Southwest Asia/Iraq. Knowledge and/or experience of mitigation techniques for identified Army vehicle systems and equipment regarding environmentally induced faults and increased operational tempo demands. The candidate should have working knowledge and experience in computer science/information technology, database use and administration, and proven ability and/or certification in all MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with military logistics or maintenance and military ground vehicle platforms is desired.
The candidate should have experience in mentoring/training others, ability in graphics design, preparing presentations, and report writing. Work experience and knowledge of TACOM and TARDEC organizations and mission responsibilities is desired. The candidate should have experience in business development and business management.
Duties:
Collect vehicle system, component and parts failure data related to operation in a hostile, high-use environment for failure analysis. Failure data will be analyzed to determine if there is potential to lengthen the service life of the failed item via revised maintenance procedures or re-engineering. Determine the extent of degradation of equipment due to an increased operational tempo, environmental impacts, impacts on suspension, hull, and drive train due to increased weight of Add-On Armor (AOA) and the retrograde process for deployed military ground vehicle equipment. Support enhancements of data mining and analysis activities, identify and develop business opportunities to expand applications of delayed deployment damage data mining and analysis, and follow-on issue investigation resolution. Support migration and training of contractor and government system and equipment managers.
