Description:
Job Purpose: Provide support to the manufacturing areas in equipment design, process improvements, cost improvements, process troubleshooting. Manage capital appropriation projects. Assists in generation of expense and capital budgets.
Position Responsibilities: (Key responsibilities, authorities, and inter-relationships)
· Identify and recommend manufacturing technologies to strategically develop business objectives and potential opportunities.
· Implement technology solutions to improve or redefine existing manufacturing systems.
· Provide senior technical leadership for plant-wide machine design and automation projects.
· Represent the organization as the principal technical contact on major projects and initiatives to site and senior management
Quality System Duties and Responsibilities:
· Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
· Maintain plant compliance with all the required training
Experience and Education Requirements:
· This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, BioMedical or Electrical Engineering or other related technical degree. A Master’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
· A minimum of seven to ten years in manufacturing and/or process engineering or Master’s degree plus 2 years is required and ten years machine design experience. Previous experience in the Class III implantable, medical device, pharmaceutical, textile or other FDA industry would be a definite plus.
· Expertise in managing complex projects is required.
