Description:
Job Purpose: Supports manufacturing area in tooling design, process improvement, cost improvement.
Position Responsibilities: (Key responsibilities, authorities, and inter-relationships)
· Design tools and /or machines of varying types for use in the manufacture of company products.
· Re-design, repair or replace in-process production program equipment, production control Hardware and tooling.
· Develop processes, methods, tooling and production controls for new programs; supervises their assembly and proofing.
· Prepares technical reports, analysis, recommendations and presentations reflecting the status and results of projects in progress on a regular basis.
· Set up new equipment, ensures its satisfactory operation and instructs others to use the equipment properly.
· Draft protocols and manage all phases of process validations and equipment validations.
· Write procedures for the operation of new or existing equipment.
· Prepare capital appropriation requests providing required evaluation, analysis and supporting justification.
· Assists in the preparation of department budgets.
· Maintain currency concerning new manufacturing technology and equipment and investigate their potential applications, recommend incorporation of new technology for company applications where feasible and practical.
· Participate in a team environment to enhance processes and product performance.

· Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
