Description:
PEAK6 Online seeks a Director of Strategic and Financial Planning to provide financial management and strategic planning in support of the PEAK6 Online businesses, which include OptionsHouse, WeSeed.com and ONN.tv. This individual will be a participant in the strategic and operations planning processes for the business and will handle special requests and projects for Sr. Management.
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
Create, improve, and maintain long-term strategic finance models for the PEAK6 Online businesses, including budgets and projections.
Develop ad-hoc financial metrics analysis and operational efficiency analyses, including revenue per user, customer analysis, customer acquisition costs and profitability analysis.
Collaborate with members of other functional teams to develop and communicate a shared understanding of operational performance drivers and key metrics.
Develop business models to identify and assess business opportunities and enable the development of tactical and strategic plans based on the results of the modeling and analysis.
Create, improve, and maintain financial and business metrics’ reports and scorecards and work with senior managers to help them understand operational and financial metrics for their business.
Work with senior management to set and manage towards key performance targets and communicating to the PEAK6 Online team.
Communicate financial results including variance analyses to senior management.
Generate and maintain ownership over management reporting processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to structure and execute a framework for a variety of projects ranging from measuring the lifetime value of a customer to pricing models for services.
Complete cost / benefit analyses and provide key drivers / inputs to ensure correct business decisions.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree. Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field preferred.
At least 5 years of Business and Financial Analysis experience.
Strong analytic, financial modeling and reporting skills required.
Ability to understand and synthesize multiple view points and distill information into an impartial analysis for decision making.
Excellent analytical skills: an attention to detail with a focus on results, the ability to analyze raw data and apply creative/innovative analysis, and the capability to form key, succinct, and actionable insights/recommendations.
Highest degree of proficiency in financial modeling and analysis; skills should include not only Excel expertise, but also abilities to design, communicate, and adjust models to fit business needs and changes.
Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment, leadership skills, and ability to communicate with a senior management team.
Ability to work across various functional areas and to interact with individuals across all levels throughout organization.
Strong strategic thinking abilities with demonstrated ability to “see the forest through the trees”.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Highly detail oriented with a strong sense of ownership over work product.
