We are currently seeking an:
Assistant Facility Security Officer (Assistant FSO)/Sr. Security Administrator for EMD and APSD. (09-023)
Job Description/Essential Job Duties working in conjunction with the Facility Security Officer:
Ø Provide guidance, oversight and ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and DoD Directives.
Ø Initiate, review and submit personnel security clearance applications via the e-QIP program.
Ø Administer and coordinate the DoD security program and other related security activities to ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies and procedures.
Ø Prepare and submit classified visit requests and visit authorization letters.
Ø Oversee implementation and completion of corrective action plans, investigate and report security violations/adverse information reports with the Cognizant Security Agency.
Ø Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding security regulations and procedures.
Ø Develop, conduct and document security-related training programs for employees and contract guard force.
Ø Ensure safeguarding and accountability of all classified materials.
Ø Conducting general and program-specific briefings and maintain strong relationships with management, customers and outside government agencies.
Ø Conduct periodic self inspections and perform audits, record and maintain files for DSS review.
Ø Manage access control responsibilities including badging, access cards and visit requests.
Ø Develop and implement security procedures in coordination with government agencies, company management and the Facility Security Officer.
Ø Monitor and administer the contract guard force.
Ø Participate in other security and special projects as required and perform other duties as required or assigned.
Experience and Education/Certifications:
Ø Bachelor degree preferred or equivalent and 5 years of related security experience will be considered.
Ø 5+ years of relevant work experience in the field or related area
Ø Must have strong written and verbal skills.
Ø Thorough knowledge of the practices, procedures and policies of Industrial Security.
Ø Thorough knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing Industrial Security.
Ø Must be familiar with NISPOM, JPAS and e-QIP.
Ø Familiarity with DSS Inspection process is a plus
Ø Current DoD and DoE clearances a plus or the ability to obtain both clearances is required.
Ø DSS Certificate of Training in FSO Program Management a plus
