Description:
Commercial and Small Business Learning Director
Manage Capital One University learning function for a specific Bank segment LOB; Commercial and Small Business Banking. Create learning strategy for LOB functions to drive revenue and contain costs. Impacts LOB performance through the integration of Client Relationship Managers, Learning Managers, Learning Consultants, Learning Coordinators and Project Managers. Partner with Director/Sr. Manager-level teammates to maintain consistent learning approach across all Bank LOBs.
Responsibilities:
Consult with executives and SeniorLearning and HR Directors to develop overall learning strategy and ensure learning agendas are created that align with business imperatives and objectives
Oversee large scale training projects impacting Commercial and Small Business Banking clients
Coach and manage a Team of Learning Professionals
Communicate to Stakeholders
Serve on the Capital One UniversityLeadership Team
Manage up to5 people
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma and 10 years in Management of Corporate Training Function OR Bachelor's Degree and 5 Years experience in Management of Corporate Training Function
• 5 years experience in a Corporate Training Function for Commerical or Small Business banking
Preferred Qualifications:
• Masters Degree in Business, Education, Human Resources or Instructional Design
• SPHR
• 10-15 Years experience in Management of Corporate Training Function
• 10 Years experience in Facilitator/instructional designer and/or teacher
• 5-10 Years experience in Client Consulting
• 5-10 Years experience in People/Project/Program Management
• Knowledge of ADDIE/ISD methodology and Adult Learning Principles and Theory
• Experience with comprehensive learning programs/solutions
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities
• Ability to cope with and lead teams through paradoxes
• Virtual Team management
• Six Sigma/Operational Excellence/TQM/Process Improvement
• General Lending and Underwriting concepts
• Retail Banking concepts
• General Small Business banking concepts
• Sales and Customer Service models
