HR Business Partner
This role within the company will focus on leading the HR initiatives within the sales, marketing and/or corporate areas. The HR Business Partner will work collaboratively with business leadership team(s) in understanding the business strategies, goals, objectives and key performance measures of the organization. Will use this knowledge and understanding to align and drive key HR strategies / initiatives, expertise, insight and solutions to support the culture and key business function needs. Will provide day-to-day delivery of both tactical and strategic HR services and coaching responsive to the needs of the assigned business groups. Will develop and implement processes to facilitate/project lead organization changes and business transformation and support with appropriate change management processes.
Functions of the role:
· Partner with management and learning and development to lead organizational diagnostics and design to optimize organizational alignment with business strategies.
· Develop and/or facilitate communications and training activities that effectively translate strategies into easily understandable programs and tactics.
· Assess current talent and develop long term talent strategies that establish required competencies and skill levels and that ultimately improve the performance of the organization.
· Effectively align with HR Centers of Excellence (i.e., Rewards, Learning and Development, Talent Acquisition) and business functions to effectively develop, implement, communicate, manage and enhance HR programs and initiatives.
· Work with management on employee relations; individual coaching and mediating and on driving performance management actions
Requirements:
Bachelors’ degree required (MBA or MS in human resources is highly desirable).
At least 8 years of HR experience preferably in a best-in-class company. Candidates must have broad based human resources experience and progressively more responsible roles, demonstrating the ability to translate business needs into effective strategies and actions to execute against those strategies.
Strong business acumen is an absolute must and candidates should have experience working in a profit and loss organization with focus on all functions of a business such as sales, marketing, corporate, engineering, and research.
Must have experience working independently in a highly decentralized, very hands-on organization.
A strong organizational development background is highly desirable.
Must have background in organization design, compensation, benefits, employee relations and talent development.
