Full-Time Director of Pharmacy
The Meadows Psychiatric Center, Centre Hall, PA
Description: As a CPS-employed Director of Pharmacy at The Meadows, you will have a full support team available to you—from a Regional VP, Regional Clinical Director, and 340B Specialist to a Regulatory Specialist, Drug Information Specialist, and more. We’ll rely on you to oversee all pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and State and Federal laws. You’ll recommend innovations in the practice and function of the hospital pharmacy to Administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs. You will supervise 1 Pharmacy Technician.
Qualifications:
· Pharmacy Degree (BS or PharmD)
· PA licensure in good standing
· Previous hospital pharmacy management experience desired, but not required
· Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
· Ability to work cooperatively with other members of CPS and hospital and pharmacy staff
Facility: Located minutes outside State College in Central Pennsylvania, The Meadows Psychiatric Center is a 101-bed private behavioral health care facility on a beautiful 52-acre rural campus. At the core of an integrated system for the treatment of mental illness, The Meadows provides comprehensive services to children, adolescents, adults and older adults. It is owned and operated by Universal Health Services, accredited by JCAHO, and licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare (DPW).
The newly constructed, centralized pharmacy is open Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. It has Pyxis on units/Amigo pharmacy computer system, and will soon be implementing clinical programs. Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to CPS.
