MANUFACTURING TRANSACTION SERVICES – SENIOR ASSOCIATE FOR THE U.S. MEMBER FIRM OF INTERNATIONAL ACCOUNTING ORGANIZATION
POSITION SUMMARY:
Seeking a full-time financial senior associate to participate in engagements related to supply chain advisory and transaction services within the manufacturing industry which may include a particular emphasis on the automotive sector. The candidate will perform various duties including: historical/forecast financial statement analysis, cash flow and debt capacity modeling, report development, industry research, data/document administration and training of new staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· The candidate should be able to perform a thorough financial analysis of the subject company, developing and supporting conclusions and recommendations. The candidate should also have the ability to critically assess financial statements, cash flows, forecast performance and liquidity. The ability to identify risk areas and opportunities for improvement is also valuable.
· Analyze financial results by reviewing accounting records and financial statements
· Prepare and maintain sophisticated financial models
· Conduct interviews with management regarding financial analysis and key business issues
· Evaluate and monitor cash flow and liquidity
· Assess and document risk areas
· Analyze potential cost savings/reduction opportunities
· Evaluate accounting policies, practices, internal controls
· Provide negotiation support
· Identify operational challenges and constraints
· Conduct industry/company/subject matter research in efficient manner
· Maintain administrative files to support the engagement
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Advanced understanding of accounting theory and application
· Understanding of various accounting documents (general ledger, aging reports, etc.)
· Excellent Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
· Financial modeling development/critique
· Base knowledge of bankruptcy laws and accounting implications
· Professional presence
· 3 - 6 years of financial consulting experience, preferably in the assurance/audit or due diligence transaction advisory services
· CPA, CFA, or CFE designations a benefit
· 4-Year college degree with an emphasis in accounting or finance
· Manufacturing and Automotive industry experience desirable
· Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
· Ability to travel as required to various client sites.
