Description:
Incumbent oversees a portfolio of equity and interest rate derivatives. Responsible for managing the portfolio to a complex set of liability measures. Develops, evaluates and analyzes derivative strategies to better fit the portfolio characteristics to evolving liability measures. Proposes trades to the Senior Risk Committees. Incumbent has strategic responsibilities and strong leadership skills to enable him/her to ensure appropriate staffing and organizational structures are in place for the area. This individual will also partner with the revenue areas to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity and / or control. May form part of the management team for product or business area. Manages and directs individuals within the area, usually through relevant direct reports. Seasoned manager with extensive product knowledge and functional expertise, likely to have a more narrow scope of products and / or functions than at the next level. Role is balanced between day-to-day high level operational execution and development of the strategic direction of the area. Manage the portfolio to a complex set of liability measures
Develop, evaluate and analyze derivative strategies to better fit the portfolio characteristics to evolving liability measures
Propose trades to Senior Risk Committees
Promote improved understanding of derivatives and their role in our hedging strategies across the Business and Enterprise
Coordinate with Compliance, Risk and Reporting areas to ensure the portfolio complies with applicable guidelines (Board, Regulatory, Committee)
