Our client is seeking a Security Analyst for a project in Miami, FL.
This position will be working with the user provisioning group within IT Security. They will be responsible for online system access rights. The main responsibility for this role will be creating groups (AD and Lotus Notes,) creating accounts, resetting passwords, User ID’s, and some end user support.
They will be working closely with the help desk to close tickets for new users to get them set up with the appropriate settings. Some phone support will be done, but it will be mostly electronic communication.
The Security Analyst function is to provide leadership and expertise in the development and maintenance of security controls across the company. The incumbent will perform risk assessments, investigate security breaches and other activities necessary to ensure a secure computing environment. The incumbent will also develop effective security administration processes and procedures to support the business units and support corporate disaster recovery and anti-virus efforts.
Minimum Requirements:
· 3-5 years in IT, with at least 2 years focusing on Security and an in-depth knowledge of supported security system(s) administration and maintenance
· Novell, NT Windows Administration (AD-group policy administration, creating accounts, user set-up/access)
· Expertise with all facets of information security is a requirement, especially in the areas of system, application, and network technology, regardless of platform
· Basic PC, server, network, and mainframe concepts
· Use of appropriate resources and diagnostic tools with guidance for problem determination and resolution
· Technical writing concepts and the ability to apply general industry knowledge
· Understand and apply the business terminology and processes for the security systems supported
· Enterprise level experience
· RACF (Mainframe Administration experience)
· Lotus Notes (user provisioning, provisioning rights, creating user objects)
· Certifications (CAN, MCP, RACF – security administration for mainframe, desired, but not required
· Understand the business issues for the security systems related to areas support
· High School Diploma or GED required, at a minimum
