Project Manager - New Product Introduction
Summary
We are seeking a high-level professional with excellent project management skills. Your main purpose will be to lead product introduction teams for Genoptix. Your daily activities will help drive corporate growth through the development and execution of an effective product launch process. You will be tasked with leading a cross-functional team from product concept through launch.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Note: Other duties may be assigned.
Lead and manage new product introduction teams from product concept phase through project closure.
Demonstrate and adhere to project management best practices to execute all project deliverables, ensure project goals are met and value is added to the organization.
Provide strategic direction and leadership for a highly skilled, passionate, and professional cross-functional team.
Facilitate planning and project management using consistent tools and approaches across the team.
Create and execute project work plans and revise them as needed to meet changing needs and requirements.
Facilitate team meetings effectively; provide meeting objectives and agendas in advance, followed by timely issuance of meeting minutes detailing decisions, action items and responsible parties.
Apply diplomacy and inquiry skills to challenge assumptions to optimize timelines, costs and quality requirements.
Ensure work is prioritized, resourced and tracked effectively.
Initiate and specify critical success factors, ensure tracking process is in place and activity progress is monitored.
Ensure project plans and budgets are derived from sound assessment of business needs.
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the respective projects.
Proactively highlight implications of identified risks and work with appropriate team members to forward solutions that minimize risks.
