Description:
Director of Business Development - Telecoms USA and Latin America. Based in Miami Our client is a major international telecoms operator with a head quarters in Miami and 6 telecoms operators in latin America. They now need to hire a Director of business development. This person must have a strong knowledge of business development in the USA telecoms markets particularly for the development of business in the Hispanic communities. Therefore ideally the candidates needs to speak Spanish but this is not essential. This position would be in charge of all strategic business Development consisting of; 1. New revenue channels, products and services particularly with a strong knowledge of accessing the USA retail market in order to use new USA distribution channels to sell products and services like cheap calling cards to the Hispanic community for dialing friends, the ability to make payment transfers for phone back home and for establishing local Latin American numbers on Laptops so that local rate calls can be made back home to relations, friends and clients in their home countries. 2. Telecoms Mergers and acquisitions of new and existing operators plus maybe new businesses like gaming, gambling, ISP, MVNOs in USA and Latin America etc 3. Traditional products, rates, tariffs and services strategy It is essential that you have indepth telecoms experience having worked for large telecoms operators and that you have an understanding and experience in product and market development, also in M&A as well as strategic acquisition. It is also essential that you have experience, unerstanding and contacts in the USA retail distribution and sales channels. Excellent salary and benefits and relocation is on offer.
