Mechanical Research Engineers - multiple openings - Direct Hire - MUST be US Citizen- Salary range of $75-95K based on work experience, education, etc.- Relocation assistance available!Our client, a top industry manufacturer, has asked for our assistance with their openings for Mechanical Research Engineers in their Research and Development Technology Center located in Kentucky. The openings are due to growthTHESE ITEMS ARE REQUIRED AND CLIENT WILL ALLOW NO EXCEPTIONS - do not respond if you have exceptions:---Firearms INDUSTRY (work) experience---Bachelor's Degree---US citizenshipPrincipal Duties and Accountabilities- Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specification, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.- Design products, parts or systems for introduction into the arms and ammunition marketplace.- Designs products and systems to interface machines, hardware and software.- Plans and directs support personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment and develops of methods and procedures for testing products or systems.- Directs and coordinates fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.- Directs and coordinates activities involved in application, operation, and repair of products and systems.- Evaluates field and manufacturing issues and recommends design modifications to eliminate same.- Manages development projects to their completion by documenting and transferring manufacturing data to the Production Organization.- Prepares technical reports for use by Engineering or Management personnel for long and short range planning or for use by Marketing personnel in sales or technical services activities.Duties include, but are not limited to, product conception; component/assembly design; detailed part modeling; interface with outside vendors; prototype builds, schedule generation; budget responsibilities; interface with all levels of management.Education and Skills- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science discipline from 4-year accredited or nationally recognized college or university- 2+ years related experience and proficiency in MS PC based software. - Firearms INDUSTRY (work) experience REQUIRED Additional consideration will be given to candidates who are proficient with CAD (SolidWorks preferred), CAE (ADAMS) software, Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS) and mechanical simulation programs. LS-DYNA experience is a plus.
