Description:
Staff Trade Analyst is responsible for analysis of international trade data, rules and regulations. This position will work with internal contacts to provide data guidance and expertise to implement and maintain processes. Core Responsibilities/Requirements: · Obtain, analyze, interpret and manage international trade data, such as Harmonized Tariff System Manuals, Customs Rules & Regulations, Trade Documentation, and Export & Import restrictions. · Maintain existing and & future trade content for North, South and Central America to ensure accuracy and compliance. · Provide outstanding customer service to external clients and partners · Team with Customs Brokers to implement/maintain Vastera's processes throughout clients Customs operations. · Work with departments across Vastera to provide trade expertise - Product Engineering & Management, Quality Assurance, Sales and Consulting · Provide technical direction to other Trade Analysts on your team or act in a Supervisory capacity · May work as Team Lead · May have internal/external communication requirements with Clients · Contribute to customer satisfaction through positive interaction with the client, responsiveness to requests, attention to schedules, and high quality work · Provide weekly status input to manager · Work under the direction of Manager or Senior Trade Analyst to resolve any issues · Escalate to Senior Trade Analyst or Manager any issue that you cannot resolve · Support and adhere to the Quality Operating System by understanding the relevance of current job activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the quality objectives Scope of Influence & Control: Staff Trade Analyst will work with peers and other internal contacts to analyze and interpret data. Trade Analyst will take direction from Sr. Trade Analyst or Manager. This job may act in a supervisory role or provide in-direct management to Trade Analysts. This job does not have direct financial responsibility.
