Senior Web Designer & Multimedia Manager This leadership role in Retail Communications will be responsible for managing the development, design and enhancement of web sites, the Consumer Banking intranet, and online tools accessed daily by 56,000 employees nationwide. Our ideal candidate will play a key role in creating and governing a consistent brand and approach to our web-based information sites and online utilities. The individual in this role will work with top executives, business unit managers, subject matter experts and IT teams to determine employee needs, write business requirements, design and wireframe user interfaces and conduct usability testing with employees. This is a hands-on position where the candidate will not only design and build sites as an individual contributor, but will manage development resources and project plans. A strong background in visual design is required. Hands-on experience designing with web-authoring tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver and HTML is a requirement. Working knowledge of Javascript and SQL a plus. This role will require strong user interface (UI) and graphic design skills and a proven ability to take complex topics and tasks and simplify them into well-designed and highly functional web tools and sites. This individual will work side-by-side with writers and project managers on the Retail Communications team. The ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and IT experts and understand our technical infrastructure is also essential.
