Description:
Summary:
Provide manufacturing support, interpret and understand manufacturing instructions, and disassembly/assembly manufacturing operations.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Help unload and ship transformers and ship loose accessories.
• Perform internal connections and disconnections. Remove and install transformer bushings and other components.
• Remove and reassembly top clamp, top yoke, insulation, and coils.
• Clean small tank related parts, primer, package and move to inventory basket.
• Perform incoming data collection as required.
• Perform tank and lid cleaning, radiator repair and flushing, tank and cover prep.
• Disassembly, inspect, and re-assemble LTC assemblies.
• Teardown, insulates, and reassembles preventative auto, booster and main cores.
• Perform superstructure, cabling, and hardwood assembly tasks.
• Pack down coils to electrical and mechanical lengths and tighten all fasteners.
• Install transformer in tank and perform all connections.
• Vacuum fills and perform tail vacuum.
• Final/disassemble unit for shipping, prep and paint.
• Weld cover and perform various tank modifications.
• Reviews manufacturing instructions, diagrams, charts, and repair order to determine work scope.
• Regularly attends work as scheduled.
• Follows safety rules and/or guidelines while performing daily work.
• Completes process control records.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Safely operate various overhead cranes, forklifts, coil lifter, enerpac hydraulic system, and various hand held power tools.
• Perform turns ratio, insulation resistance (megger), and other tests as required.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities on all company equipment.
• Operate vacuum ovens, TTR tester, and manlifts.
• Operate the ABVAC oil system.
• Perform welding and brazing operations

Requirements:
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of transformer manufacturing operations. Duties require verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to identify potential manufacturing problems, and recommend potential solutions.
• Ability to interpret blue prints and drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret CT wiring diagrams and connections.
• Reading and interpreting nameplates and engineering instructions.
• Ability to read and complete PCR checklists.

Education: High School

Experience: At Least 3 Years
