Aurora Loan Services is currently looking for a Mgr, Business Analysis & Reporting.
Job Summary:
Manage team of Analysts charged with the analysis of collateral, risk, profitability and performance of the all the bank’s products.
Works independently setting own priorities and objectives with supervisory consultation.
Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives may normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the business or delays in projects requiring considerable expenditure to rectify.
Provides direction, coordination and control for the effective operation of team or unit.
Average number of direct reports is two analysts
Presentations to Senior Leaders and Executive Committee
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Manages team of Analysts including recruiting, staffing, conducting performance appraisals and training.
Oversees and performs analysis to support product managers and senior management in making operational, credit and pricing decisions.
Design and execute routine and ad hoc analysis.
Identify deficiencies and or trends that may increase risk.
Create forecasting algorithms for all groups and products.
Build scorecards and key performance indicators.
May perform other related duties or ad hoc projects within the scope of responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor Degree in Business or Finance required, Post Graduate degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum six (6) years relevant professional level work experience and up to two (2) years in second level management role with responsibility to manage a departmental activity or function.
Exhibits sound management practices.
Fully knowledgeable of assigned product/functional area and has a thorough understanding of the division.
People management experience preferred.
Specialized Skills & Knowledge:
Solid understanding of basic statistics.
Excellent multi-tasking abilities and communication skills.
Solid knowledge of SQL and SAS.
Broad understanding of residential mortgage loans.
Knowledge of mortgage products operations.
Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Forecasting.
Technical Skills:
Administrative and Financial Modeling skills
Advanced critical thinking and analytical skills
Advanced MS Access Database and Excel Spreadsheet skills
MS PowerPoint and Word skills
Advanced numerical calculations
Advanced programming languages
Skilled with reporting tools and statistical analysis
Knowledge of Window operating system
Physical Requirements:
