REGIONAL FLEET MAINTENANCE MANAGER - BUS FLEET:
National Express Corporation (NEC) a national leader in school bus and fleet operations and transportation services is searching for a reliable, dynamic and accomplished REGIONAL LEADER who is responsible for the oversight of a large fleet workforce covering Florida, South Carolina, Mississipi, Arkransas, Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee, Pennsylvannia and Maryland.
This position will ensure that the operations functions have a full complement of roadworthy vehicles in line with our fleet excellence service level agreements set forth by our preventative maintenance management and in accordance with the outlined financial and operational objectives and safety guidelines in both union and non-union environments.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Responsible for the oversight of a geographical area for the effective and efficient management of the maintenance function within the locations specified. The position will ensure that the operations functions have a full complement of roadworthy vehicles in line with the service level agreements set forth and in accordance with the outlined financial and operational objectives.
MAJOR RESPONSIBLITIES:
1. To direct and control the company’s vehicle and premises/plant maintenance activities within their area ensuring compliance with all statutory, contractual and policy requirements.
2. To direct, control and ensure that there are sufficient resources available to meet prescribed levels of service every time.
3. To continually monitor performance and to make appropriate alterations as required utilizing all available resources.
4. To continually review the maintenance strategy ensuring commercial viability and effective service delivery.
5. To promote maintenance to the customer developing and introducing quality initiatives.
6. To utilize and enhance appropriate IT systems
7. To be responsible for recruitment processes along with disciplinary / grievance / sickness procedures at the appropriate level for the post.
8. To actively provide good employee relations ensuring effective communication and encouraging participation.
