Advance your Sales Management career at Liberty Mutual - A Fortune 100 Company! As a Territory Manager with Indiana Insurance, you will facillitate profitable premium growth primarily within a specific geographic territory by selecting, appointing, managing, or terminating independent agents within that assigned territory. The assigned territory is SE Indiana including Indianapolis, Louisville Greensburg and Shelbyville. Responsibilities include: Develops and maintains an agency plant capable of producing profitable premium volume sufficient to meet territory annual assigned goals. Through the use of Agency Analysis, evaluates agencies and initiates action plans to identify and capitalize upon production opportunities and improve results within their assigned territory.
Prospects, recruits and appoints qualified agencies that demonstrate a need for the company's products and services and that has committed to achieving the objectives negotiated in the annual plan.
Continually monitors key competitors within their assigned territory. Collects, analyzes and reports information pertaining to any changes in competitor activities that will impact the company's position in the territory. Suggests possible actions to mitigate the impact and improve the company's position in the marketplace.
Coordinates training and implementation of company marketing programs to increase productivity and improve bottom line results with agency personnel.
Develops a team relationship with Inside Sales, Licensing & Contracting, Product Management, Finance, Underwriting & Claims. Provides reports to Regional Sales Manager/Product Manager as directed. Maintains a satisfactory standard of expense control.
Maintains and utilizes RAMP and other agency management tools to develop tactical agency plans and manage assigned territory, in order to generate expected territory results.
Masters working knowledge of all company operations, including but not limited to: Underwriting guidelines, procedures and service standards, policy and coverages, payment processing procedures, Commission Statements, SNAP, Company Rating Software, Claims procedures and service standards, all PC based Sales Tools.
