Assignment Capsule
As a Proposal Manager you will combines proposal writing with team management and development. Responsibilities include overseeing the research, design and creation of sales proposals from beginning to end, consulting with other departments to refine business strategies, and ensuring the quality of finished products. You will also provide technical expertise for web development activity in order to support the delivery of services and products. Additionally, you will:
Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to enhance the contributions, competencies and performance of a team of proposal writers.
Lead and develop Best Practices and ongoing process efficiencies.
Develop winning proposals for current and prospective clients that will drive sales growth.
Create customized proposal responses that communicate Humana's value proposition.
Lead and oversee the proposal project team.
Research, analyze, and monitor the competitive landscape.
Ensure that quality assurance efforts like review teams and compliance matrices are undertaken for each proposal

Role Essentials
Bachelor's Degree in Business, English, Journalism, related field or equivalent experience
Progressing levels of responsibility within a sales proposal function, preferably in the health solutions industry or a Fortune 500 company
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partnering business segments
Demonstrated ability to grow and mentor a team

Role Desirables
Prior supervisory experience combined with experience writing proposals for multiple lines of health solutions.

Reporting Relationships
You will report to a Director and supervise a team of approximately 8 direct reports.
