Riley, KansasReports To: VP, Health Care ServicesFLSA Status: Non-ExemptSummaryMedical Call Appointment Specialist shall be responsible for making appointments via the telephone in a call-center environment. Appointments may also be communicated via automated means.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.1. Process referrals and scheduling appointments within the TRICARE access to care standards; 2. verify demographic information prior to scheduling appointments in the Composite Health Care System (CHCS), 3. correct demographic information, registering beneficiaries prior to making the appointment, 4. make and cancel patient appointments, 5. provide performance and management reports on the appointing process. Supervisory ResponsibilitiesN/AEducation and/or Experience1. Knowledge of medical terminology is required. 2. Knowledge and competency in the use of typing, computers and office skills.3. Knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, health care providers, other hospital staff, and supporting agency staff.4. High school diploma or GED is required.5. Possession of good customer service skills and willingness to utilize those skills in a call center environment.Computer SkillsMust have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, databases (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.Clearance LevelSecret with the ability to upgrade to Top SecretOther Skills and Abilities• Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.Chenega Corporation is an EOE/AA.
