Job Title:
Manager, Front-End Development

Job Summary:
The Manager, Front-End Development is responsible for developing presentation layer code, including PHP, XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript. A front-end developer understands how both the User Experience and Technology disciplines operate and acts as a liaison between the two.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with other team members to develop dynamic, interactive websites and software using PHP, HTML, XHTML, XML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX and other related technologies.
Architect front-end framework for large branded websites.
Participate in Business Development and sales pursuits.
Stay current with emerging Front-End technologies to be able to promote their usage as project needs dictate.
Coordinate with Technology Architects to ensure the successful integration of front and back-end technologies.
Identify tools, templates, and techniques that evolve existing approaches for the larger Creative Design community at Sapient.
Mentor, coach and manage team members.

Experience Guidelines:
7+ years of industry experience.
Led development teams in dynamic and fast-paced and globally diverse environments
Expert knowledge of hand-coded HTML, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, and DOM.
Strong experience with web standards, SEO and accessibility.
Knowledge of Javascript/UI libraries and their use in implementing AJAX solutions.
Experience working with CMS, Portal technologies, and backend frameworks (Java, .NET).
Strong organizational and estimation skills.
Heroic get-it-done attitude.
Ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
Frequent travel may be required.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree required
