Location: Sapient Miami – Falls Office

Minimum Qualifications
***************
? Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems, with at least 3 credits of database design and development. Alternately, minimum 2 year experience developing relational database systems and applications.
? Solid T-SQL programming experience with SQL Server 2000/2005; stored procedures, functions, etc.
? Demonstrated experience developing MS SQL Server DTS and SSIS packages.
? Good working knowledge of relational data modeling for enterprise databases.
? Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
? Ability to collaborate with developers on complex business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.
? Excellent communication skills. Must be fluent in English.
? Authorized for work in United States.

Additional Competencies

? Familiarity with database development processes, source control, and other industry best practices a plus.
? Experience developing data access applications a plus.
? Experience with .Net framework programming solutions a plus.
? Experience with Microsoft Excel a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
? Designs and develops database schemas and database objects based on design specifications and business requirements
? Creates ETL logic to load and extract data to and from the data warehouse
? Designs , tests and executes T-SQL queries for data retrieval
? Designs , tests and executes T-SQL queries for operational tasks
? Validates report data and investigates data discrepancies.
? Works with application engineers and business users to troubleshoot and correct data issues
? Reports accurate project status to the track lead
? Identifies and escalates issues that might delay the work. Reports progress and issues to the track lead/ Manager in a timely manner. In particular, to relay issues that might impact on quality or the ability to deliver to timescales or estimates.
? Identifies and calls out dependencies that affect individual work
? Understands and adheres to database development process standards
? Maintains and updates the design documentation for assigned modules
